Anna Ferrara - Co-Owner, Coach
My passion for health and fitness started as a young child. I played many sports growing up and spent most of my time outside in some capacity. I have always loved helping people. After taking an anatomy course in high school and spending more hours in a gym setting than my own home, I decided to put my love of helping people and my interest in the human body to use.
That’s when I decided to study Exercise Science and Strength and Conditioning. I attended Bridgewater State University where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the respective fields.
Personally, I enjoy outdoor activities, food (and lots of it), and all things horror. I’m married to Coach Matt and we live with our pup, Gunner, and have a little one on the way!
Here at ATP, we take pride in delivering a coaching experience that is truly tailored to YOU. We understand that every single human is unique and has individual needs. We also understand that training goes beyond the gym floor, so we are on a mission to guide you through your personal fitness journey.
Come see what you are capable of!

Matt Ferrara - Co-Owner, Coach
I love coffee, dogs, and being outdoors.
I originally got into training as a way to battle my own inner demons and haven’t looked back since. From then on, it has been my passion to help people build the strongest version of themselves both inside and outside of the gym.
I received my bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Bridgewater State University, where I also met my lovely wife, Coach Anna.
Once reaching the peaks of coaching in Boston, I realized that something was missing from my life. I grew up in the Berkshires working on a farm over the summers to pay for college. I missed the openness and the freedom of the outdoors, and we decided to move out of the city and north to Concord, New Hampshire.
It is my passion to deliver the best possible coaching experience to my clients and to teach them the tools to build strength in all aspects of life.

Stacy Sprague - Coach
I am somewhat new to the industry and excited to continue growing and learning to provide the best experience possible. I lead with enthusiasm and fun and I excels at making you feel comfortable in a space where people usually don't. I’m ready to be your hype girl on a moment's notice and I love seeing our members realize their potential and growth.
I’ve been married to her Partner, Bobby, for 10 years and together we have two very energetic and fun children.
I love to spend time with my family and friends, and I enjoy cooking, baking, true crime documentaries, dancing and snacks.

Phoebe Axtman - Coach
This Concord townie is obsessed with chickens, her community, everything orange, glitter, and travel (especially to the North Country)!
I am passionate about making people feel seen, accepted, and connected. I was drawn to Ascent because of the inclusive and empowering culture. As an advocate for body neutrality and health at any size I felt an instant alignment with Ascent's core values. When I am not training at Ascent, I work full-time as a therapist and owner of a private-practice in Concord. You may be asking yourself, what’s a therapist doing here as a coach?! I wear many hats! After completing my Yoga Teacher Training and Health Coach Certification in 2015, I continued to expand my work in wellness. I became a personal trainer in 2017 while working for a mental health center program dedicated to integrating physical and emotional health. After a break from personal training, I returned to the profession as Ascent's first intern. I am so excited and honored to join the Ascent team as a part-time trainer.

Ben Hunton - Coach
Hi everyone! My name is Ben! I am an NASM certified personal trainer who has been enthralled with fitness for the last 10 years. I live in Concord with my miniature aussiedoodle, Putnam.
My background is in musical theater. With a master's degree in Theater Education, I have taught, directed, and performed throughout New England. I love working specifically with actors and other stage performers on conditioning and functional fitness for the stage, as well as movement for the stage.
I love meeting people and getting to know their stories, and my favorite part about training is seeing the hope and joy of individuals when they start to feel healthier and happier.
My hobbies include theater, karaoke, fiction writing and playing guitar.
Can't wait to meet you!

Gunner - Gym Mascot
I am the real boss around the gym… don’t let these other people fool you.
I love treats, butt scratches, and doing things on my own time.
I excel at making people feel comfortable in the gym by cornering them and forcing them to give me pets.
I may be shy at first, but I open up pretty quickly. I’m excited to meet you and make you my new friend!
